It's always extra special when you are a friend before you are the photographer. Patrick and Laura have been Scott's best friends before there ever was a "Scott and Hailey" and way way before there was ever a "Patrick and Laura." So not only was my boyfriend in the wedding party, but he also got to see me work for the first time. And I not only got to attend a wedding of two of my favorite people, but I got to snap some pictures that they will have for a lifetime to come. Win Win. Nicole + Ted | Portland maternity portraits

These two are the sweetest. I knew we would get along because the first time we met we talked in depth about food - more specifically our mutual love for making and eating ice cream! We had so much fun at their maternity session at the Peninsula Park Rose Garden & Hoyt Arboretum. To beat the 100-degree heat, we did a late evening photoshoot. The light was perfect and so were Ted and Nicole. I can't wait until August when I get to meet their sweet little baby!

These two mean so much to me. Their unity in marriage is a pretty special thing considering they've been going strong for well over ten years before they said "I do."
